Cooperative Model
Members
Members are individual residences or businesses that receive electric service from a distribution cooperative and hold ownership rights in it.
Distribution Cooperatives
The distribution cooperatives provide electricity to approximately 1,200,000 members, or customers, in Arkansas and surrounding states.
AECC
Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corporation (AECC) generates, sells and delivers reliable and affordable wholesale electric energy, along with related services, to its member-owners, who are the electric distribution cooperatives.
AECI
Arkansas Electric Cooperatives, Inc. (AECI), provides education, public relations, governmental affairs and other support services to its member-owners, who are the electric distribution cooperatives in Arkansas; also sells electric utility materials and equipment and provides related services to and for electric utilities across the United States.
Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas
Comprised of electric distribution cooperatives, Arkansas Electric Cooperatives, Inc., a Little Rock-based cooperative that provides services to the distribution cooperatives, and Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corporation, a generation and transmission cooperative.
